We recently had a metal roof installed on our home from ASI Improvement Company. They did an AWESOME job, these are great people to deal with !!! Highest quality and the most reasonable price !! To anyone who bought a metal roof from ASI/Joe Miller: good luck on your “Lifetime Guarantee.” I have aggressively pursued Joe to fix the issues on my roof for 237 days now with NO phone call back. I truly believe my house would rot away from his leaks before Joe came back to fix a problem. I am in the process of procuring a new contractor to fix all of these problems.
Initially, I agreed with other reviews: Joe Miller, the owner of ASI, is a nice guy, and I truly felt he would do a good job on my roof for a good price. But Joe has let me down tremendously regarding schedule and quality.
I feel sorry for homeowners without construction experience that have hired ASI (Joe Miller) for their roofing. If your end result was even close to my Standing Metal Seam Roof installation, you received very poor quality product.
I am a former construction worker with experience in framing, roofing, and siding. I have my Bachelor’s and Associate's degrees in construction management. I have worked in my career as a construction professional for the past 15 years.
-Misaligned and wrong cuts of metal panels, flashing and siding.
-Flashing NOT installed under siding, allowing water intrusion
-1 inch gaps in metal panels, ridge caps, etc., allowing water intrusion
-Not following details as agreed in the contract
After researching metal roofs for about two years, I am so happy with my choice of roofing company. ASI not only knew what they were doing and did it right, but was my lowest bid of the three. Do your research, a metal roof is the way to go and ASI is worth the wait (during the busy season) It's great to see people stopping in the road to look at my roof. Thank you Joe and ASI.
I could tolerate if the job was just ugly, but when my expensive, "guaranteed-for-life" roof is not even water tight, I have a serious problem with that. When I contacted Joe about these issues, he was resolute that everything was fixed. Joe’s response to all of these quality issues was (direct QUOTE) ”I install affordable metal roofs.” I guess that means leaky, poor quality roofs to anyone who is look at ASI to put a roof on your home or building.
-Overall very poor craftsmanship
Joe and his crew did a wonderful job on my new steel roof. The bright red really "pops" and looks great on the log house. The crew was respectful, didn't leave a mess, and did a professional job. they even put a red roof on the doghouse.
-Broken and cracked siding that was not replaced
