I wanted to use a local company instead of 1-800 flowers, but I think next time i'll use some place else, especially since they can't seem to answer a simple question without getting snippy.
I ordered some flowers for my mother for Valentines using the online service and called to let them know that my mom would not be at her work until between noon and 3. I know they dont have scheduled deliveries, but asked the lady what times they were doing deliveries. "All day" was her response. All day did not provide me the answer I needed, so I explained my situation and she was quite rude. I told her my mom wouldnt be there earlier than noon and she said we'll try to deliver them as late as possible. That does me no good when I dont know how late they deliver. So I try saying something and she repeats "We'll deliver them as late as possible, we have 200 deliveries." I told her I know and I wasn't expecting a specific time, but I just wanted to make sure she would actually get the flowers and they wouldnt' be waiting overnight for her.
I am a Lapeer native but I have lived in Florida for 16 years now but I can and have always been able to count on Burkes to delivery beautiful flowers when I can't be there for occasions that ate important to me in my home town...birthday's, anniversaries, funerals....they have always treated me well and been reliable and consistent I really appreciate being able to count on them for things that are so special to me
I called first thing in the morning for them (I'm stationed overseas) and was surprised at the lack of customer service so early.
